Educational Programs
Announcing a New Education Resource Website!

Mitch Levinson, MLC New Home Marketing Five of the Chicagoland area’s Home Builders Associations recently teamed together to offer an array of educational courses under the newly formed Illinois Regional Education Board (IREB). IREB consolidates the educational efforts of the builder, remodeler, and associate members in each of these five HBAs. A website was recently created to give members a centralized location to learn about upcoming NAHB sanctioned courses and designations offered through the IREB program.

All information on IREB, which is comprised of The Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago, The Home Builders Association of Greater Fox Valley, The SouthWest Suburban Home Builders Association, The Northern Illinois Home Builders Association and The Home Builders Association of Will-Grundy Counties, can now be found online at www.learn-build.com. This is the perfect place for builders and remodelers to see the complete list of courses offered, which includes everything from Building Codes and Estimating to Standards and Customer Service. The website is easy to use and includes options for contacting IREB by email, registering for classes and paying for these course online. Additionally, the website includes a full calendar of events for upcoming classes. We’re all so busy these days, now registering for these classes is only the click of a mouse away.

I’m very excited to participate in this program because it gives the members of the five Chicagoland HBAs a centralized location to receive all their information on the courses that will greatly benefit members’ careers. These programs focus on practical training for newcomers and veterans alike, with lots of ideas and strategies you can use every day to improve your business and advance your career. It makes sense to combine the educational courses and have everyone work together to increase involvement in the HBAs. This will help others become more knowledgeable and successful as builders and remodelers.

The benefits of IREB are huge. Not only do the five Chicagoland HBAs now have a centralized educational organization, but the National Association of Home Builders has less of an overlap in courses in this area of Illinois. IREB will allow more people to receive various designations offered by the NAHB, which in return helps membership steadily increase.

IREB has been very well received by HBA members as a way to further their educational efforts, which is crucial to the growth of the home building industry. It is now much easier for people in Chicago’s home building industry to take classes and gain skills that will in return help their businesses grow. Additionally, these classes are a great way to network and meet peers in the home building industry, as well as stay up-to-date on code changes, requirements and new regulations within the industry. Professional designations offer excellent opportunities to improve your skills, advance your career and be recognized for your commitment to professional growth. These courses, offered through IREB from NAHB, have the most targeted curriculum, accomplished instructors and widely respected education opportunities in the business. Start getting a designation now so you’ll be ahead of the competition in the future.

Accreditations and designations from the University of Housing and NAHB say a lot about you and your personal commitment to the home building industry. IREB offers dozens of educational courses and seminars especially tailored to fit your needs as a building professional. Visit www.learn-build.com today to learn more about IREB, see a calendar of upcoming courses that you will be interested in attending, and even sign-up to be on the e-mail distribution list!
